We have officially launched the VC Research Grant 2024!
The VC Research Grant provides a great opportunity for our full-time staff to do institutionally beneficial research and further their academic careers. External academics who wish to participate in this Grant Scheme can team up with a ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥ staff member as primary participants, thus becoming eligible for the scheme.
The purpose of the Research Grant Policy is to develop the required financial support and policy environment at ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥, which encourages independent research and dissemination of research knowledge, in line with the strategic objectives of ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥. Like previous years MVR 500,000 has been allocated for research grant each year as well. This Research grant is awarded for research projects which are based on Research Grant Awarding Areas and are in line with the strategic and SDG priorities of ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥. These grants are awarded after reviewing the grant application by the Research Grant Committee as per Grant Evaluation Criteria and Procedure in assessing eligibility and merit. Eligibility for ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥ Research Grant is limited to fulltime staff of ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥. Temporary, visiting, adjunct, or part-time staff are not eligible to apply for a research grant. Staff members are encouraged to submit joint applications with visiting scholars, local and international universities/institutions, industry partners, and civic society as part of a collaborative research project
